Being a member of law enforcement is a dangerous job. That’s evident when K9 Brock died in the line of duty on January 18, 2018, during a training exercise. According to the Officer Down Memorial Page, the four-year-old K9 was training at the Southern Maryland Criminal Justice Academy. Brock and his handler were on a metal staircase when the K9’s leg slipped through a grate and he suffered a severe leg injury. Deputies immediately took him to a veterinary hospital where it was determined that he would be unable to fully recover and the best course of treatment would be humane euthanasia.
K9 Brock served for three years with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office in Maryland. Please help us show support and condolences to K9 Brock’s handler and all of their deputies by leaving a comment below.
